- Abstract
In order to meet high reliability application requirements of modern electric drive system, a kind of Halbach array based permanent magnet fault-tolerant motors (PMFTM) is studied in this paper. Firstly, the structure, characteristics and fault-tolerant working principle of PMFTM are analyzed. Secondly, according to the electromagnetism theorem and Maxwell's equation, the electromagnetic parameters calculation equations are derived, and then the key parameters of 1KW four-phase six-pole Halbach array based PMFTM are worked out. Thirdly, a PMFTM prototype is built and tested, and the experiment on this researched motor has proved that the rationality and accuracy of this motor.
