- Abstract
As the world continues to urbanize, sustainable development challenges will be increasingly concentrated in cities. Integrated policies to improve the lives of both urban and rural dwellers are needed. We define a metric to measure the success of smart. We set up an index system that can measure the success rate of urban smart growth to quantify the smart growth of the city, and to judge whether a city's current growth plan is successful. First of all, we put the current impact of the larger city smart development evaluation index system into a general index database, considering the three E's of sustainability and the 10 principles of smart growth, using Fuzzy set theory to select and classify indexes, then we get a intelligent evaluation with 5 first grade index and 17 secondary index. We use the arithmetic average method and analytic hierarchy process to determine the weight of each index to smart growth.Because of the difference of the meaning and the nature of the index, the index is different in dimension,so we use the extreme value method to carry on the dimensionless processing to each index value. Thus, we build a model of Urban Smart Growth Evaluation.
