- Abstract
By the existence of Act No. 33 Year of 2014 about Guaranteed Halal Product, which states that all products in Indonesia shall be certified halal. This study aims to examine how the halal certificate for clothing products of leather as a category of used goods. The method research used normative research. Based on the guidelines provided in the MUI Fatwa Commission at this time, there are at least two points of the goods of which can be certified halal. One of them related to the clothing made from the skin of the animal, such as bag, jacket, dress and shoes. However, a lot of the clothing products made of raw skin still does not have a halal certificate yet. This must be concerned because clothing is one of the products which has direct contact with the skin.
