- Abstract
A high-precision Σ-Δ analog-to-digital converter is designed in this paper in order to meet the accuracy requirement of analog to digital signal conversion in the area of high-frequency and low-voltage seismic wave. In the analog part, a second-order Σ-Δ modulator is used to realize oversampling and noise shaping, which greatly weakens the quantization noise. And the digital part of the design was composed by multi-level digital decimation filters including multi-stage CIC extraction filter, FIR half-band filter and IIR high-pass filter to achieve filtering and down sampling function. The combination of two parts finally realizes a low-bit quantitative, high resolution, high signal-to-noise ratio Σ-Δ A/D converter which can output 1 KHz, 24 bit resolution data.
