- Abstract
The current paper provides the semantic classification of verbal predicates in the text of a journalistic style. It is suggested that there are basic units of predicates of common semantics of object being in space: 1. spatial predicates, non-actionable predicates of visual perception (predicates denoting spatial configuration of an object in relation to some other object and verbalization of the spatial characteristics of an object itself); 2. non-actional units of intermodal semantics 3. actional predicates.
