Abstract

The article is devoted to the problem of self-development of adolescents (teenagers) in conditions of modern education in the Russian Federation. As an educational environment with pedagogical potential for solving the problems of self-development of the younger generation, the authors defined additional (continuing) education. The authors distinguish the basic subjective functions of the additional education of children in the development of subjectivity of the individual. The authors give us the theoretical analysis of the works of Russian and other educators allows us to conclude that additional education for children has specific characteristics that are necessary for the self-development process. The problems of self-development and self-realization of the individual in creative activity are associated with the impact of the socio-cultural environment on the individual (both positive and negative); with the search and selection of pedagogical techniques aimed at the formation of creative abilities; with the organization of conditions for the creative development of the individual. They are also associated with the definition of criteria for the socialization of the individual in creative activity; with the development of methods for studying the creative potential of a teenager. The problems of self-development and self-realization of the individual in creative activity are associated with the impact of the socio-cultural environment on the individual (both positive and negative); with the search and selection of pedagogical techniques aimed at the formation of creative abilities; with the organization of conditions for the creative development of the individual.
