Abstract

The research on contemporary China’s rural governance system has always been an important field of academic research. This article reviews the relevant literature. The research content includes before and after the founding of New China, the period of reform and opening up, and since the 21st century. At the same time, this article analyzes the changing trends of research objects, research methods, and research perspectives. Such as, the subjects of rural governance have become diversified, research methods focus on field investigations and document analysis, the perspectives of research on rural governance issues have also become increasingly diversified, and academic research closely follows the practice of rural governance and keeps pace with the times.
