Abstract

With the continuous development of economic globalization, foreign direct investment (FDI) has become an important driving force of economic globalization. As one of the main methods of opening up, economic cooperation and the international transfer of capital factors, FDI promotes the rapid growth of my country’s economy The important force of. With the development of reform and opening up, the scale of China’s absorption of foreign direct investment has continued to expand. As an important hub of the “One Belt One Road” strategy, Shaanxi Province is a bridgehead for the development of the western region. Affected by factors such as infrastructure construction and regional environment, Shaanxi Province has a considerable gap between its opening to the outside world and open coastal cities. In terms of attracting and utilizing foreign investment Obviously later than the eastern coastal area, and the investment scale is smaller. However, the effect of foreign direct investment on its economy is obvious. Shaanxi Province should increase the absorption and use of foreign direct investment to promote itself and drive the economic development of the western region. Therefore, this article quantitatively analyzes the performance and potential of foreign direct investment in Shaanxi Province from the perspective of performance index and potential index, and concludes that Shaanxi Province has the characteristics of a late start, rapid development and uneven development in the use of foreign direct investment. Therefore, if Shaanxi Province wants to accelerate economic development and improve the level of utilization of foreign direct investment, it must recognize the current development situation, clarify development goals, maximize its strengths and avoid weaknesses, give full play to its comparative advantages, and strive to improve the efficiency of investment attraction.
