- Abstract
The outbreak of COVID-19 epidemic had a great impact on people’s work and life, causing people to have different degrees of anxiety. Researchers have found that anxiety affects self-interested behavior, but few studies have explored the underlying mechanism. Therefore, this paper explores the mediating effect of controlled motivation and moral disengagement on anxiety and self-interested behavior. The results show that anxiety has a significant positive effect on self-interested behavior. Controlled motivation and moral disengagement both have independent mediating effects and chain mediating effects on anxiety and self-interested behavior.
