- Abstract
Innovation is the driving force of economic growth and the welfare of the regions at the present stage of the development of society. It is innovation that promotes competitive advantages for companies. But the implementation of innovative activities is impossible without creating favorable conditions and opportunities for its implementation. In our study, we analyzed the degree of influence of various factors on the results of innovation activity using the method of correlation and regression analysis. The information base of the study was the data of the Federal State Statistics Service for 2017 in 85 regions of the Russian Federation on indicators of innovation activity and indicators of the development of banking infrastructure. Based on the regression model, it was concluded that the number of credit institutions and their branches in the region has a significant impact on the effectiveness of innovation. Thus, one of the directions of increasing the innovative activity of enterprises in the region is the development of banking infrastructure. But it should be borne in mind that this is due to large-scale investments, therefore it is necessary to pay attention to other factorial signs that contribute to the intensification of innovation activity. Sustainable innovative development of the region is achieved with the integrated management of the entire set of factor signs.
