- Abstract
The article analyzes the impact of universities on the social and economic development of regions in terms of selected performance indicators of higher education institutions using the example of federal universities of the Russian Federation and parameters for assessing the regional development of the regions in which they are located. Using econometric approaches, a selection of factors of higher education institutions that have the greatest connection with the region was performed, a regression model was developed, and forecast values of social and economic development parameters of territories for the future period were calculated. Thus, conclusions were reached about the impact of universities on the social and economic development of regions from research activities results.
