Abstract

The paper discusses the influence of different transmission line models on lightning protection performance of transmission line under different circumstances by studying the mathematical model and calculation method of transmission lines. And the paper uses EMTP method to compare the actual calculation results and the actual results. The measurement errors introduced in different transmission lines model under different conditions are calculated to determine which model is more concise and effective within acceptable error range. And these results provide a strong theoretical basis for lightning protection performance analysis of transmission lines.
