- Abstract
Taking three Hui communities as cases, and basing on analysis on characteristics of urban space organizations and Islamic architecture in China, this paper seeks a method to promote conservation and renewal for ethnical minority group's cultural heritage by overall planning, protection on ecological environment, tourism planning, and conservation and design on ancient Mosque, old street and other cultural architectural heritage of the Hui People. Their living and activity places are also concerned. As a result, the historic buildings become key elements in promoting the rehabilitation and redevelopment of the whole area.
