- Abstract
In this paper, long-distance natural gas pipeline system and its SCADA system are generally introduced first. Accordingly, SCADA system control for long-distance gas pipeline is discussed in normal operation. Based on this, control model is established, and needs of auto-switching SCADA's control are discussed. And then, it is proposed that Active and Passive ways of SCADA Control authority auto-switching method based on heartbeat protocol in detail. These make SCADA system self-tested for its telecommunication channel, and robust for the whole SCADA system be greatly improved, and ensure safe operation. At last, some notices for the implementation in different projects are suggested at the end of this paper.
