- Abstract
The Chinese nation has a glorious civilization history with 5,000 years, the traditional culture is broad and profound, and it contains rich humanistic spirit and value, it is the power source for the times development and social progress. College education, as the highest level of national education, has a non-negligible role in inheriting and carrying forward the outstanding traditional Chinese culture. The ultimate goal of Chinese language teaching is to improve students' knowledge and culture level; Chinese traditional culture can be used to achieve this goal, it can enrich the traditional cultural knowledge of contemporary college students, shape the moral personality of college students, exercise the will quality of college students, cultivate the mentality of young students, and improve the humanities quality of college students. This paper analyzes the status quo, dilemma and reasons of traditional culture education in colleges and universities, expounds the importance of traditional culture in college Chinese teaching, and explains the necessity of traditional culture education and the role of college language teaching in traditional culture education, puts forward the ideas and methods of strengthening traditional culture education in college Chinese teaching, so as to realize the integration of college language teaching and traditional culture.
