- Abstract
The research is motivated by the problem of physical inactivity which is a problem in the world of education, especially for students. The purpose of this study was to determine the profile of physical activity of adolescents and children’s students in elementary, junior high and high school. The method used in this study is a survey research with a quantitative approach. The design of this study is the Cross Sectional Survey, the population in this study were elementary school students, junior high schools and high schools in the city of Sukabumi with an age range of 8-19 years. Sampling is done by Cluster Random Sampling with a total sample of students is 1008 students. The instrument used was Physical Activity Questionnaire for Adolescent (PAQ-A) and Physical Activity Questionnaire for Children (PAQ-C) and documentation. The conclusion is that physical activity in students of children is higher than that of female students and adolescents have lower physical activity values than male students both adolescents and children. The implication of this research is that it can improve the physical activity of adolescent and children in Sukabumi City, general in Indonesia and make various parties aware of the importance of the role of physical activity.
