- Abstract
This study was to identify the duration of sedentary screen time (SST) and gross motor skills (GMS) of Indonesian preschoolers in the urban area. This study used an IPAQ questionnaire and Test of Gross Development (TGMD) to collect data. Preschoolers who live in urban area are involved in this study. This study indicated that most of children in the urban area tends to have a duration of sedentary screen time more than 1 hour per day (95% ± CI: 45.96-54.04). GMS level in non-locomotor aspects showed descriptive statistical identification results (20.19-62), and object control (25.48-66.48) with (95% ± CI: 45.96-54.04). It can be concluded that the level of GMS of Indonesian preschoolers that live in urban area is strongly influenced by sedentary screen time.
