- Abstract
Serial crowdfunding has increasingly become a financing channel for small and micro enterprises, and plays an important role in promoting the development of enterprises. Based on the ELM model, from the perspective of investors, we constructed a serial crowdfunding financing performance model to explore the impact of the central route and peripheral route on the performance of serial crowdfunding financing. We analyzed 209 observation samples from “Modian Network”. The result showed that: the previous project financing performance and crowdfunders’ experience (peripheral route factors) have significant impact on the financing performance of later project; the quality of later project (central route factors) has significant impact on the financing performance of later project; the impact of the central route on the financing performance of the later projects is stronger than the peripheral route. The findings expand the application of ELM theory and improve the performance of serial crowdfunding financing.
