- Abstract
Realism, as a universally applicable theory of international relations, is no longer better explaining the emerging international affairs after cold war. A typical question is why Britain with hundreds of nuclear weapons can be an ally of America, but undetermined nucleate North Korea has regarded as an axis of evil for America? Thus, for fully understand the nature of constructivism theory of international relation. This study starts with an introduction of sources in theory germination and a comparison among schools in theory formation, so as to clarify the relationship among these four elements: national identity and national interests; language and national identity; rules and international society; international society and national interests, and further offer a path for analysis of international affairs.
