Abstract

Waqf has the potential to improve the economy of a country, because waqf has a role in improving the welfare of the people. Apart from that, the role of managing cash waqf funds can also be used more widely, not only for purposes which are always related to the construction of mosques, prayer rooms, etc., but can also be used for public purposes which can be managed productively and the results are utilized by Mauquf Alaih. This makes sharia banking have the opportunity to become a nadzir, considering that sharia banking is a professional institution in managing public funds and other social funds so it also needs to expand its business by developing cash waqf. The research method used is a qualitative research method with the SWOT analysis technique, which is a method that can be used to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats to determine the potential of sharia banking as a nadzir cash waqf to fund halal tourism. This research shows that sharia banking has great potential and opportunities as a fund for cash waqf in an effort to accelerate the optimization of waqf assets and can also be used as a means to increase access to financing for MSMEs, including those operating in the Halal Industrial sector, such as the halal food and beverage industry and those operating in the Halal Industry sector. in the field of Halal Tourism.
