- Abstract
Bromate (BrO3-) is an oxidized contaminant produced from bromide (Br-) during ozonation and advanced oxidation of drinking water. which is considered to be a potential 2B-level carcinogen, would couse serious harm to human health. This paper reviewed the formation process of bromate, the main influence factors, detecting bromate methods, in particular ion chromatography and pre-treatment methods were described in detail. And this paper pointed out that a wider range of applications of ion chromatography detection in drinking water.
