Abstract

Although many laboratory tests study on electro-osmotic consolidation of soil, it is not widely used in practical engineering, since influenced by existing problems of electrode erosion, low effiency, uneven consolidation, the effect of electro-osmotic treatment is not perfect. In this paper, several laboratory test methods to improve the efficiency of electro-osmotic consolidation are discussed, advantage and disadvantage of each method is analysis based on test results.
