Abstract

The article discusses the results of a study of ideas of residents of the Altai Region about providing a foster family for senior citizens as an innovative form of their living arrangement. The main targets and resources for the development of a foster family in the region as a social institution that maximally satisfies social and psychological needs of the elderly are considered in detail.
