The article is devoted to the study of the processes of conflict in one of the regions of Siberia (namely, Altai region), focusing on the estimates of its population. The article presents data from a representative sociological research on this issue, which was conducted in 2018 within the framework of the project “Developing and Promoting a Set of Social Measures to Reduce the Level of Social Tension and Conflict in the Altai Region in 2018-2020”. As a result of this research, the authors determine the level of conflict in the region and outline a number of key ways to reduce it.
