Abstract

The article considers youth extremism as one of the factors contributing to the violation of state security in cross-border regions. Relying on extensive data on criminal cases in the Altai region, the authors reveal certain peculiarities of youth extremism in the region bordering with Kazakhstan and Mongolia. A number of recommendations to address the threat of youth extremism in the cross-border territories is provided.
