- Abstract
The post-communal conflict trauma experienced by the Moluccas Christian and Moslem communities has not been seriously addressed by GPM through its pastoral care. Both the teachings and practices of pastoral care are still exclusive to the stewards and congregations, and have not been directed to the issue of trauma. Using the perspective of the pastoral and biblical theology of Romans 12: 9-21, I would like to explain the importance of pastoral care that takes into account the dimension of the trauma. The GPM’s pastoral care, which is directed to address the trauma problem of the society in Moluccas at the post-communal conflict, will help to create healthy relationships within the communities both individually and communally. Here I hope that this paper can encourage GPM to develop its contextual pastoral care in Moluccas.
