This qualitative descriptive approach applied research and development (R & D) as an approach and strengthening of the cases studied. The data were gained from private universities under the auspices of the coordinator of regional IV private universities (Kopertis) which were based on some considerations, the working area, experience and the expertise of the participants. The results of this study indicate that the governance system in private universities under the coordinator of private institutions (Kopertis) still needs improvement, especially in the management of data and information for the process of continuous quality improvement.
