- Abstract
A traffic classification method, based on quintuple feature and regular expression matching, is presented for the requirement of instantaneity and accuracy in the process of network traffic classification. First of all, the method proposed uses quintuple information recognition technology to classify network traffic rapidly. Then, the data packets are deeply, accurately classified and identified by the characteristics of regular expression matching protocol. Proved by examples, the method adopted in this paper can effectively improve the instantaneity and accuracy of network traffic classification.
