Abstract

Firstly, the definition and implication of virtual learning communities (VLCs) are introduced, then the research on definition, dimension and process of participation of VLC members and their continued involvement are presented. Finally, based on the review of literatures about VLCs, we analyzed the problems existed currently and proposed the developing directions of the participation research of VLC members in the future.
