Abstract

In foreign language education, cultural teaching has always been regarded as the input of Western culture. Therefore, in foreign language teaching, it is almost all the content of Western culture, and there are very few parts about mother tongue culture. At this stage, in English teaching, The proportion of western culture and mother tongue culture is very uneven. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze and discuss the role of mother tongue culture in English teaching and the role of western culture in English teaching, cultivate students’ cross-cultural communication skills, and protect and inherit the excellent Chinese traditional culture.
