- Abstract
The aim of the research is to determine the education needs for the speed reading and comprehension curriculum with the focus group interview method and develop the speed reading and comprehension curriculum. The research was designed according to the descriptive survey model and was performed as a case study. The study group of the research trained of six instructors. The qualitative data was analyzed through content analysis. In the light of the research findings, the results regarding the determination of the target group, goals, instruction and evaluation process, class size and education duration of the speed reading and comprehension curriculum were reached. In line with the findings, a speed reading and comprehension curriculum was designed. It is among the results that eye exercises in the instruction process of the speed-reading curriculum, which can be developed for those with attention deficit, adults and students at different levels, and formative tests in the evaluation process have an important place.
