The final results of the study shows that Chinese nationalism has flourished since the beginning of 21st century because of the Internet. Currently, it is still the mainstream. In a sense, nationalism in China has both merits and disadvantages. It can improve the cohesion of the country to a certain extent. However, because of historical legacy factors, it often leads to the extreme of public opinion.
