Abstract

Li Rui is a writer with distinguishing features with distinct characteristics in his works: extreme writing and Chinese consciousness, the former of which roots from questioning hardness of human beings, mental predicament in particular, and the later is the native consciousness as a Chinese writer. His works sheds lights on the confusion: how should Chinese literature take a part in the world as a whole.
