- Abstract
In this paper, we use an efficient method to solve the wave numbers of transient wave propagation in layered media. To solve those problems, the analytic solution for the interior domain is combined both a homogeneous solution and a particular solution, the exterior domain is described by a homogeneous solution only. To obtain the homogeneous solution, one has challenge to solve the complex root of the transcendental equations will be discussed. For the soil-structure interaction problem, the wave number of transient wave propagation in layered media will be used for the impedance matrix of embedded axial symmetric foundation
