- Abstract
In the 1950s, the expert delegation of the former Soviet Union assisted China’s Central Academy of Drama in establishing the performance teaching system. In the following decades, the Stanislavsky system was used as a means of performance teaching in almost all Chinese art colleges and universities, laying a solid foundation for cultural prosperity. Along with the rapid development of the society and the more diverse aesthetic preferences of the mass culture, teaching of theater, film and television performance should also adapt to this new environment, stay close to the mainstream culture orientation, and continuously break through barriers to their own. Under the background of new liberal arts construction, it is obliged for performance teaching to interconnect and promote mutually with other disciplines, strengthen its core competitiveness, explore new teaching methods, and lay a profound foundation of providing comprehensive and interdisciplinary study for the students.
