- Abstract
Notwithstanding the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) was proposed in 2013 and the Dual Circulation Economic Policy was proposed in 2020, few studies link these two together. To fill this gap, this paper adopts Analytic Process Hierarchy (AHP) to develop an indicator system for evaluating capacities of economic development of China provinces under the context of the BRI and Dual Circulation Economic Policy. This system identifies and integrates the economic and social elements promoting the BRI and Dual Circulation Economic Policy, and more importantly, reveals the ranking of importance of these elements. By applying this system, investors and policy makers may examine the strengths and weakness of each province in its economic development plan and make target measures.
