Abstract

Based on a Lacan's reading of the lack of love of Sarah, the heroine of Love, Again, the paper argues that the psychological transition from the imaginary to the symbolic is the underlying cause of Sarah's lack of love, and that it is the lack of love that helps Sarah re-enter the symbolic world and make progress on a higher level.
