- Abstract
As one of the most interactive, participatory and consumptive modes among many webcast modes in the Web2.0 era, the online video live broadcast of Excessive Entertainment embodies the commercialization and fetishization characteristics of the communication mode from the perspective of cultural industry. As the dominant commodity of consumer society, the capital and culture of webcast platform are endowed with certain value. Therefore, the exchange rules followed by the market can also be applied to the live network field. In addition, there are unique capital conversion and cultural production mode in the live broadcast field. Based on Bourdieu’s capital theory, the network broadcast mode of Excessive Entertainment from the perspective of consumption is practicing the logic of capital conversion. The participants of the live broadcast all default to the rules of the live broadcast field, which also enables the participants in the process of live broadcast to complete the capital conversion and identity identification in the process of capital conversion.
