- Abstract
Problems with applying counseling in schools based on the counselor’s code of ethics still occur. For example: (1) counselors do not use appropriate counseling theories; (2) counselors lack understanding of communication skills during the counseling process. Deviation from the code of ethics is caused by a lack of counselor competence. Hope in the future counselors can increase competence through periodic counseling training, also can follow the Professional Counselor program.
