Abstract

Content-based Instruction (CBI) is a teaching approach that combines the language teaching with the content teaching and has an effect on promoting learning efficiency. This paper firstly points out the problems of current English reading teaching, then expounds the concept and teaching models of CBI, and finally gives the English reading teaching reform approaches based on CBI to provide some references for the university English teachers.
