- Abstract
In the context of the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle’s establishment as a significant national economic growth pole, the 20th Central Committee’s Third Plenary Session further emphasized the need to deepen civil-military reform and improve the layout of the defense technology industry. Consequently, the coordinated development of the military-industrial economy and the local economy has become increasingly important. This paper identifies three major issues: the uneven distribution of resources between the military and local economies in the Chengdu-Chongqing region, low levels of civil-military coordination, and insufficient policy incentives. Based on current realities and future trends, the paper offers strategic recommendations, such as fully considering the geographical location and potential future industrial advantages of the Chengdu-Chongqing region to address weaknesses, enhancing policy incentives for coordinated development, and promoting rapid civil-military economic integration. These suggestions hold theoretical and practical reference value.
