- Abstract
In order to enhance the efficiency of maintenance construction and improve the capacity and service quality of expressways, a mathematical model was developed to optimize the timing of road closures. This model takes into account factors such as highway tolls, traffic flow, construction costs, and construction periods. By solving the algorithm, the optimal strategy for determining road closure construction time can be determined. The application method of the maintenance construction time optimization model is demonstrated by using the engineering scenes of Tangxia-Ruian and Ruian-Tangxia direction maintenance construction on the YongTaiwen Expressway as examples. The results show that after optimizing the construction closure scheme, the revenue of the Tangxia-Ruian and Ruian-Tangxia expressways has increased. This optimization has effectively solved the traffic organization problem associated with the maintenance and construction of the expressway toll.
