Abstract

Language fuzziness, one of the most significant features of human natural languages, has been existing since the birth of languages. It has been widely applied in various texts, also including English news leads. The paper aims to probe into some E-C translation strategies of fuzzy language in English news leads with reference to some translators’ versions of news leads from foreign journals, which are the strategy of equivalence, the strategy of conversion, the strategy of expansion and the strategy of omission.
