- Abstract
In the study of the influence of modern civilization on Asian languages, linguistics can provide a rich basis in three aspects: loanwords, mixed languages and language strategies, and plays an important role in Asian civilization and language research. Firstly, loanwords are the product of civilization, history, and culture. Studying the appearance and development of loanwords helps to understand the cultural exchanges and interactions of ethnic groups in a specific period. Secondly, there are many situations of Asian language contact, and a lot of mixed languages have also been produced, which can reflect the civilization origin and development process of a certain nation to a certain extent. In addition, facing the advanced and powerful Western modern civilization at that time, Asian languages adopted various countermeasures to protect their own languages and civilizations, providing evidence for the study of Asian languages and civilization characteristics. Therefore, linguistics can provide rich evidence and novel perspectives for exploring the influence of modern civilization in the development of Asian languages, and make due contributions to Asian civilization and language research.
