- Abstract
One of the main aspect of floating offshore wind turbine (FOWT) operating in normal is the safety of its cabin. The ballast water in cabin is closely related to the stability of FOWT. The dynamic response of the motion and the mooring lines force will be changed once its flooded column damage. In this paper, three different types of flooded column damage of OC4 DeepCwind semi-submersible floating offshore wind turbine are set and the performance of it under flooded column damage has been investigated. Simulation result shows that flooded column damaged has a vital effect on platform stability. The result of this paper could offer reference for FOWT’s design and optimization.
