Abstract

The traditional houses in southern Fujian Province is an important part of Chinese dwellings.They are located on both sides of the Taiwan Strait where the wind disasters happened frequently. In the long history, many considerations on wind resistance performance of traditional houses in southern Fujian are reflected in various aspects of building construction. The article will focus on these analysis and researches.
