- Abstract
After the collapse of the USSR and the restoration of state independence the Republic of Azerbaijan implements foreign policy in accordance with national interests, and builds equal and mutually beneficial relations with the Russian Federation as its main strategic partner. The nature of these relations can be considered predictable, the success of which is reflected in the areas of political dialogue and security, military, technical and economic cooperation, as well as in ongoing humanitarian projects. The article provides a detailed analysis of each of these areas, as well as examines the prospects of projects implemented by Azerbaijan and Russia in the framework of “predictable partnership”.
