Abstract

Based on Mindlin displacement solution, we fully analyze the mechanical behavior of ground surface settlement caused by tunnel construction. In this paper, modified formula of ground deformation induced by ground loss is offered and applied to estimate settlement induced by the double-line tunnel construction with superposition principle. The successive construction process of double-tube parallel shield tunnels in the same direction was simulated with FLAC3D and the simulated results were compared with values of theoretical formula calculation.
