Abstract

Based on measured data of velocities of several points along the vertical direction in the center of rotating cylinders using Acoustic Doppler Velocimeter (ADV), we analyzed some turbulent characteristics of flow, such as time-averaged velocity, turbulent intensity, and Reynolds stress. In addition, we also estimated the flow shear rate, a parameter used to characterize the shear flow.
