Abstract

Durkheim criticized extreme individualism, emphasized the organic solidarity of modern society, advocated the attachment to a community, the discipline and autonomy spirit, and laid moral education as the foundation for rebuilding social norms. In the process of modernization transformation, there are problems in Chinese value concept of moral education, such as how to maintain a balance between justice and solidarity, and how to try the best to perfectly realize the value in educational practice. However, Durkheim’s moral education concept properly provides valuable thinking solution to this confusion.
